NCC website overhaul
Rebuilding the Nigerian Communications Commission's website around what the public comes for.

01 · Context
The Nigerian Communications Commission's website was outdated, hard to use on mobile, and had outgrown its structure. The Commission also needed incident reporting and an events calendar.
02 · The question
What do people actually come to the NCC website for, and why was it so hard to find? We answered that before designing anything.
03 · Discovery
We ran three stakeholder workshops and audited 400+ legacy pages using analytics data, then restructured the information around what visitors look for. Seven design concepts went to review and three were shortlisted.
04 · Delivery
I led a five-person cross-functional team through design, build, security hardening, and testing. 58 defects were logged in testing, and none rated critical or high were outstanding at sign-off.
05 · Handover
We trained NCC staff to run the site themselves and handed over manuals and publishing workflows. The Commission formally accepted the work in April 2025: all 16 contractual scope items delivered on schedule, with agreed UX and accessibility acceptance scores up 50%.
06 · Features & outcomes
Scope. Every contractual scope item, on schedule.
Acceptance scores. Agreed UX and accessibility scores.
Content audit. Restructured using real analytics data.
Team. Cross-functional team under my lead.
